Join us for the 16th annual Yankee Doodle Pops on Thursday, July 1st at the Iowa State Capitol Grounds.
This FREE, patriotic concert begins at 6:30pm with Metro Arts Jazz in July, the Orchestra will takes tage at 8:30pm and the evening concludes with a fanfare of fireworks over the downtown Des Moines skyline.
Want the best seat to view this amazing night? Join us for our Viewing Party on the terrace of the State Historical Building. Guest will enjoy pre-concert entertainment, a gourmet picnic, post-concert entertainment and lots of fun! More details coming soon.
Don't forget to bring your non-perishable food items for the Yankee Doodle Drive Against Hunger! Like many others in this country, Iowans are in need of help during these difficult economic times. Join the Des Moines Symphony, Bank of the West, Dahl's Food, Iowa Bankers, KCCI and the Office of the First Lady help the Food Bank of Iowa by bringing in non-perishable food items.
