The Des Moines Symphony is honored to be selected as one of two orchestras in the country to be a site for the Midori Orchestra Residency Program. Her week in Des Moines includes working with Symphony Academy students, classroom visits and master classes culminating with her performance of one of the great twentieth century concertos by Russian composer Shostakovich.
