Evenings with the Orchestra

Ever wonder who wrote the music for the dancing brooms in Disney's Fantasia? Or how a concerto is organized? Or why you don't clap between movements of a symphony? Evenings with the Orchestra is designed to give you an informal, accessible and enjoyable introduction to the music performed by the Des Moines Symphony in their 2006–07 season. Evenings with the Orchestra is intended for interested listeners of all sorts, from long–time attendees to first–time participants and everyone in between. Bring your questions, your curiosity and your love of music and we'll supply the rest.
