ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

At a Des Moines Symphony Academy Instrument Petting Zoo, children and adults are offered the unique opportunity of a hands-on experience with a string instrument.  Academy staff and faculty are on hand to show curious observers proper technique for holding and playing a violin, while allowing them the freedom to explore the varied sounds that a violin can produce.  Des Moines Symphony Academy Instrument Petting Zoos are a terrific way to get to know this popular instrument.
