The Des Moines Symphony Academy offers internships throughout the school year. DMSA interns gain valuable exposure to the daily operations of a non-profit education institution through hands-on, exciting experiences. Past interns have assisted with the following projects: Academy PR and marketing campaign, Young Artist Competition and the Greater Des Moines Youth Symphonies. My experience with the Des Moines Symphony Academy has been educational and exciting, and has given me the opportunity to learn about the industry in a very hands on way. I've been given the independence to work on my own project, and see how everything works "behind the scenes."
