Des Moines Symphony Academy

A beginning piano course specifically designed to capture the enthusiasm and natural creativity of the young learner. Students work together to develop comprehensive piano skills that include keyboard geography, sight-reading, ear training, technique, repertoire, and improvisation. The small group atmosphere is energizing and motivates students to gradually learn the discipline of practice. Performance is encouraged through parent "open classes" where students share solos and ensemble repertoire in a non–threatening atmosphere.

1st and 2nd grades

Class size is limited to 4

Tuition: $63

Summer Session 1: July 7-26
Summer Session 2: July 28-August 16

Schedule: Tuesday- 4:30 pm
               Tuesday- 5:30 pm

Registration Information

Pre–Registration is available to families currently enrolled in a Des Moines Symphony Academy class. Des Moines Symphony Academy cannot reserve space in any Early Childhood Music class until full payment has been received.

Cancellations & Refunds

Classes that do not enroll a required minimum number of students 5 days prior to class convening may be cancelled. Students that have paid for a cancelled class will receive a refund or may apply credit to another class or private lesson.

If a family needs to drop a class, Des Moines Symphony Academy will consider refunding the classes missed if the class is dropped within the first 2 weeks of the session.
