Intermediate to advanced players will have the opportunity to audition in the fall and spring for placement in the Philharmonic Orchestra. Requirements:String players must be able to play in third position, as well as demonstrate vibrato and a variety of bowings. Woodwind and brass players must display an intermediate level of proficiency in two octave scales, rhythmic complexity, fingering and embouchure control. The fall semester will consist of strings only; brass, percussion, and woodwinds will be added in January. (Auditions for brass, percussion, and woodwinds will be held in December.)
