Music for Moppets (Ages 4-6)

This 45-minute class is the Academy's first option for children to beign piano instruction. Students work in groups to develop rhythm, finger corrdination and reading skills. They gradually master musical terms, symbols and concepts necessary for early notation reading. Many improvisational experiences encourage creative thinking and build self-confidence. Participation over the course of the year allows students to work through the netire Music for Moppets curriculum. This course establishes a foundation for further musical studey whether continuing with piano or beginning a new instrument. Piano sharing times at home are encouraged, however no formal practice is required. Students who complete Music for Moppets graduate to Kinderkeyboard.
