Advanced players may audition in the fall and spring for placement in the Symphony Orchestra. This full orchestra includes strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. Participation in this group promotes musical experience through the study and performance of standard orchestral repertoire and contemporary works. Student soloists may be featured in concerto performance accompanied by the orchestra. Technical skills include playing in all keys and the ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency on the instrument. The Symphony Orchestra performs at least two concerts during the school year.
