- Title Institutional Giving Manager
Owen Ballard joined the Des Moines Symphony staff as the Institutional Giving Manager in April 2019. Prior to joining the Symphony, he served as the Assistant Director at Camp Hantesa in Boone, IA. Owen obtained degrees in Biology and Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at Drake University.
As the Institutional Giving Manager, Owen is responsible for overseeing corporate, foundation, and public giving including grants management, event planning, and sponsorships. He also works with the rest of the development team to ensure all donors are recognized and appreciated.
